Gulliver Series

The Gulliver Series of vehicles were produced to accompany Lone Star’s ‘OOO’ scale railway range. They first appeared in the 1963 trade catalogue along with a series of moulded buildings and scale figures all branded as the ‘Gulliver Country Series’. There were 5 different vehicles; a Citroen DS car, LWB Land Rover pick-up, articulated lorry (based on an Austin WE), Dennis fire engine and AEC RF bus. Considering their tiny size the models were surprisingly accurate, the Austin truck for example is actually a better model than Lone Star’s much larger Roadmasters version! At least 2 types of wheels were used and there are some minor casting variations. The Citroen and Land Rover came in a wide variety of colours.
