Following its Mercedes, VW and Volvo models, Lone star continued to add European cars to its expanding Impy range in 1967 this time turning to Fiat of Italy. The real car is an elegant design which unfortunately Lone Star struggled to reproduce.
Like the rest of the range the Impy model was revamped to take hi-speed wheels and launched as part of the Flyers range in April 1969. When cost-saving measures were introduced to the Flyers range in 1975 the Fiat had its bonnet cast shut but gained a roof rack with canoe.
The Fiat did not go on to be part of the low-cost 1978 Impy Super Models range.
