NO.27 FORD TAUNUS 12M

Impy Version (1967-1968) / Flyers Version (1969-76)

No.27 was a model of the Ford Taunus 12M and was the third German car and third Ford model to join the Impy range. With the Taunus popular across Europe it was a good choice for Lone Star and was also modelled by Siku and French Dinky Toys.

Three colours have been noted on Impy models and at least four on Flyers versions. The Taunus was one of three Flyers cars to receive a plastic roof rack in 1975 whilst at the same time the casting was altered to have the bonnet and boot cast shut. Impy models and early Flyers versions had a rear tow hook although there were no trailers in either range. The hook was omitted on late Flyers models.
